Brighton injury news ahead of Chelsea clash in Premier League 2025-26 matchweek 6

The Seagulls have been handed the return of many players.
Brighton & Hove Albion have welcomed a few players back from injury. Following midweek recovery, Brajan Gruda and Yankuba Minteh trained ahead of the Chelsea game. Additionally, Max De Cuyper and Mats Wieffer are also available for the Seagulls’ match against Chelsea.
De Cuyper missed games against Barnsley and Spurs after suffering a knee injury at Bournemouth over two weeks ago. However, he might play against Enzo Maresca’s team at Stamford Bridge.
After suffering minor injuries in the 2-2 draw with Tottenham, Mats Wieffer, Minteh, and Gruda are also in contention.
Despite clutching his back once during the first half, Minteh managed to stay on the field but had to undergo fitness recovery before the Blues game, and the player has received treatment ahead of the match. Meanwhile, Gruda seemed to limp a little when he was replaced.

Hurzeler issues Brighton injury update ahead of Chelsea game
Since they (Minteh & Gruda) needed a week to recuperate and receive treatment, neither participated in the midweek trip to South Yorkshire. However, they are now fit enough to be called up for the match.
Fabian Hurzeler, the Albion manager, responded, “He recovered this week,” when asked about Gruda. He took a few days off due to his little problem. ”He received a hit so therefore he needed a lot of treatment but he trained yesterday so he will be fine.”
Then asked about Minteh, Hurzeler said: “The same for him. He had some days to recover. He trained yesterday so he will be fine.”
The lengthy absentees are Jack Hinshelwood (ankle), Adam Webster (knee), and Solly March (knee), who continue to recover from their respective injuries.
