Even after featuring for Bournemouth earlier on in the EFL Cup, Antoine Semenyo will be available for Manchester City’s semi-final matchup with Newcastle United following a regulation adjustment this season.

A player may play for up to two clubs in the tournament throughout a season, according to EFL regulation 6.4.

After participating in the competition’s opening round, Max Alleyne, who was called up from his loan at Championship team Watford, is also qualified to participate in Tuesday’s first leg against Newcastle.

The regulation change also helped Chelsea attacker Marc Guiu, who returned to Chelsea before the summer transfer window closed after playing for Sunderland on loan against Huddersfield Town in the second round.
