The Frenchman has now scored 18 goals for Real Madrid.
Carlo Ancelotti praised Kylian Mbappe’s performance in Real Madrid’s win against Las Palmas and stated there is no better striker in the world than Mbappe currently.
Kylian Mbappe’s brilliance during Real Madrid’s 4-1 victory over Las Palmas, which propelled them to the top of LaLiga, delighted Carlo Ancelotti.
Mbappe, who finished the match with the most touches in the opposition box (12) and opportunities created (five) for Madrid, received special recognition from Ancelotti.
Kylian Mbappe reached another milestone during Real Madrid’s win over Las Palmas
The Frenchman also reached a new milestone in his club career as he netted 300 goals, scoring 18 for Real Madrid, 27 for Monaco and 256 for Paris Saint-Germain.
“Well, he’s the best centre striker in the world. We can also play him on the wing, but there’s no better number 9 in the world than Mbappé”.
“He is a great striker who is very good playing in the centre, rather than on the wing because that way he can make the most of his unique runs, with speed and technique,” the Italian manager said.
Madrid got off to a poor start at the Bernabeu after a difficult week in which they were jeered by their home crowd following a 5-2 loss to Barcelona in the Supercopa de Espana final and a Copa del Rey victory over Celta Vigo in extra time.
But under the leadership of a motivated Mbappe, they took advantage of Atletico Madrid’s 1-0 defeat at Leganes to regain the lead in the standings, giving Ancelotti hope for the remainder of the season.
Mbappe’s sudden improvement in performance will also be a welcome boost for Ancelotti and his men as the Frenchman is showing signs of making an influence in the game singlehandedly and regularly finding the back of the net. Mbappe might have had his first hat trick if his second goal had not been ruled offside.
Nonetheless, he will hope to continue his excellent goal-scoring form for the Los Blancos, which will eventually become bread and butter for the former AS Monaco forward at his new club.
