Champions League 2024-25 playoffs draw result: Man City vs Real Madrid & more

Teams ranked 9th to 24th from the league phase face each other in play-offs.
On Friday, January 31, the UEFA Champions League knockout playoff matches were revealed. The 16 teams have been informed of their fates following the draw at Nyon.
A single 36-team league table was added to the 2024–25 UEFA Champions League in place of the previous edition’s group stage. The level of intensity and enthusiasm increased as each squad played eight games against various opponents.
Teams ranked 9th to 24th will compete in a two-leg playoff for the remaining knockout berths after the league phase concluded. Only the top eight teams were guaranteed straight passage into the Round of 16.
Champions League playoff draw’s results
The Champions League play-off draw is done and dusted. Teams like Manchester City, Bayern Munich, and Real Madrid have been informed of their fate going into the play-off round in the month of February.
Eight teams, including Liverpool, Arsenal, and Aston Villa, secured their spots in the round of 16 after the Champions League league phase came to an end on Wednesday.
An additional 16 teams entered the play-off stage, including the likes of Man City, Celtic, Real, Bayern and Paris Saint-Germain after finishing below eighth place in the league phase table.
An unseeded team that placed between 17th and 24th in the table was picked to play one of the seeded teams that placed between ninth and 16th in the Champions League standings.
The seeded team will have the slight advantage of playing the second leg at home. Below you can see the teams playing in the play-offs matches with their opponents.

When the playoff games will take place?
The two-legged Champions League play-off matches are scheduled for February 11–12 and 18–19.
