Chelsea make first contact for Victor Osimhen; Romelu Lukaku included in swap deal: Report

The deal will also include a young player
Romelu Lukaku and Victor Osimhen are the subjects of a purported players-plus-cash deal that Chelsea have initiated with Napoli.
The Nigerian international has been strongly linked to the Blues in recent years, and it appears like a deal may finally happen.
Since Armando Broja left the team on loan in January and Deivid Washington’s playing time was restricted, Nicolas Jackson has been relied upon to head the Blues’ line this season. In recent weeks, Benjamin Sesko has also been connected to Chelsea; nevertheless, the striker from RB Leipzig is equally inexperienced as Jackson.
Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has reported that Chelsea has now initiated contact with Napoli regarding Osimhen.
He wrote: “Not just PSG on Victor Osimhen, there have also been initial contacts with Chelsea,” in reference to PSG’s interest in the forward.
The reporter went on to say that the Blues are “attempting to comprehend the viability” of the agreement. Osimhen is reportedly available for Chelsea for between $68 and $77 million, but Napoli has certain requirements.

Di Marzio goes on to say that the Serie A team is also insisting on having two players included.Lukaku is one of them; he would immediately replace Osimhen, and Napoli is also eager to sign a “young player” from Chelsea.
The player involved is anonymous, therefore it’s unknown if this would be a permanent transfer or just a loan.
Prior to taking a loan to Leicester City in the summer, Cesare Casadei was the target of interest from Serie A. After that, in the midst of an injury crisis, Mauricio Pochettino brought him back, but he was hardly used at all.
Di Marzio disclosed that Giovanni Manna, the incoming sporting director of Napoli, has set his sights on Lukaku and has made an attempt to sign him for Juventus.
The sporting director may now pursue a similar deal for Osimhen after rumours surfaced that Chelsea was seeking to complete a swap deal for Dusan Vlahovic.
