Chelsea’s new signing, Liam Delap, has reportedly been dumped by his Scottish model girlfriend. The English striker, who joined the West Londoners from Ipswich Town, was dating Leanna Paul, a 25-year-old model and social media influencer.

According to entertainment outlet Glam, Set & Match, Paul broke up with the striker, while he is currently on FIFA Club World Cup 2025 duty with Chelsea.

Following the breakup, Leanna Paul posted a story on Instagram with a caption:

‘You can’t keep someone loyal by loving them harder.’

What happened?

After dating for more than a year, the final straw is reported to have arrived on June 28, with Delap accused of flirting with a girl in London. Paul had previously dismissed claims that her partner was unfaithful but, after being presented with evidence, has taken the decision to embrace single life once more.

A source told GSM: “She immediately blocked him as she didn’t believe the first story, but after seeing evidence of her boyfriend speaking to a girl, she immediately phoned him when he was in Miami and told him that she was breaking up with him.”

Meanwhile, Delap’s recent split with his girlfriend is a blogger on Instagram and has over 200,000 followers on the platform. On TikTok, that number jumps to over 325,000 followers.

What’s next for Liam Delap?

Meanwhile, Liam Delap began his new chapter in his football career following his move to Chelsea for £30 million in the summer transfer window.

The Englishman has already featured in the Blues’ Club World Cup games and will hope to become a regular starter under Enzo Maresca. However, Nicolas Jackson will certainly pose a challenge for Delap, but it will be a healthy fight over the starting spot between centre-forwards.

The centre-forward so far has been a preferred choice of Maresca in the tournament, and will once again look to take the No.9 role when Chelsea face Fluminense in the competition’s semi-final stage.

The west Londoners could either face Paris Saint-Germain or Real Madrid should they defeat Fluminense on Tuesday. Meanwhile, they will begin their new Premier League season at home to Crystal Palace on August 17th.

The Blues will also participate in the Champions League after finishing fifth in the league the previous season.
