Top five clubs that can sign Marc Guehi next summer

Many top European clubs are keeping tabs on the Crystal Palace centre-back.
Many clubs in Europe have started circling Crystal Palace centre-back Marc Guehi, as the interest in the player continues to grow. Meanwhile, Palace are aware of the player’s desire to start a new life at a top club. The January transfer window provides a great chance for the club to cash in on the player, with his current contract set to expire in the next summer window.
Moreover, the player’s price tag is also reasonable, as the Eagles hope to profit from his exit. Meanwhile, the England international is reportedly open to leaving the club. With this in mind, we take a look at five clubs that are interested in signing the centre-back.
5. Liverpool
Liverpool have a long-standing interest in signing the 25-year-old defender. The club also made a £35 million bid in the summer to bring the player to Anfield. However, at the last moment, the deal collapsed as Palace pulled the plug.
But they will continue their pursuit of Guehi as they look to address their perpetual defensive issues this season. However, they will face more competition this season as many clubs have also ignited their interest after learning that he could be available for free after the end of the season.
4. Chelsea

Failing to establish himself at Chelsea, Guehi had to leave West Londoners in search of more game time. At Palace, he was able to cement himself as one of the underrated defenders in the Premier League. His progress has now attracted the Blues to bring back their academy player.
Chelsea will also hope to find ways to sign the player as they join the other clubs in the race to acquire the defender.
3. Real Madrid
Non-English clubs will have a big advantage in the acquisition of Guehi. They will be allowed to reach a pre-agreement with the player in the January window before signing, bringing him for free in the summer transfer window. Moreover, Guehi will be tempted to play for one of the most successful clubs in the world.
Real Madrid’s defensive frailties have been visible this season. Although injuries have also played a part, signing Guehi makes more sense than ever.
2. Bayern Munich
Bayern Munich are also among the clubs that have expressed interest in bringing the centre-back to Germany. Moreover, they should have a good relationship with the Palace over transfer business. They have previously brought one of their star player, Michael Olise.
Moreover, the Frenchman could play a key part in convincing his former teammate to join the Bundesliga club. Guehi can expect to excel under Vincent Kompany, who requires reinforcing his defensive line. Ultimately, it will mainly depend on Guehi’s personal decision in the summer window.
1. Barcelona
Despite having decent options at the back, Barcelona could think about Guehi. He will be a massive upgrade for the club. Given that Barca play high-line football, the 25-year-old will fit perfectly under Hansi Flick and could smoothly gel with Pau Cubarsi.
For Guehi, Barcelona are another tempting option given the entertaining football they are playing under the German manager. However, in the end, it will come down to his decision, and it will be interesting to see where he will play next.
Is Guehi open to leaving Palace?
It looks likely he is keen for a new challenge in his career.
How much is his price tag?
Given that they almost agreed to sell the centre-back to Liverpool for £35 million. They might now increase it if they plan to sell him in January.
When is Guehi’s deal expiring?
It’s expiring in the summer of 2026.
