Top five clubs Federico Chiesa can join this summer
The Old Lady want to part ways with Chiesa this summer.
Federico Chiesa could be on his way out of Juventus as their new head coach, Thiago Motta, feels the forward is surplus to requirements. He has told the player to find a new club this summer. The Italian winger will hope to join a club that contends for trophies regularly. There are many clubs interested in signing the player.
Chiesa has been at Turin since the 2020 loan move which later became permanent. He has won two Coppa Italia along with a Super Cup at Juve. But now a fresh challenge awaits the forward. It could be anywhere in the top five leagues.
So, here we take a look at five clubs that can sign the former Fiorentina player.
5. Aston Villa
Aston Villa are set to participate in the UEFA Champions League. But to do so they will require established players—those who understand how to prevail in these major competitions. The Juventus winger will be a perfect player for them in the UCL. Against the competition, his experience will be beneficial. He is the kind of player who, with his style of play, can create opportunities and is a serious threat in the final third.
4. AS Roma
AS Roma were keen on signing Chiesa this summer, but their interest seems to have cooled down. It looks unlikely that they are heavily interested in signing the forward. But the Italian should be an option for them given reportedly Juventus have not invited him for the next friendly. It clearly signals they want him sold.
Federico Chiesa has been playing in Serie A for so many years and will be an ideal signing for Daniel De Rossi. Given that Paulo Dybala’s future looks uncertain, he will be a great replacement for the Argentine. Roma should consider making a move.
3. Barcelona
Barcelona seem to be another ideal destination for the Italian. Chiesa will certainly thrive in LaLiga if Barca consider signing him. But they are currently invested in signing Nico Wiliams. Hence, it is unlikely they will move for the 26-year-old.
However, if the move for Williams fails to happen, then the former Fiorentina player will be a great option for Blaugrana. The Spanish side desperately needs a left-winger who can cause all sorts of problems for the opposition teams.
2. Manchester United
Manchester United have two players operating on the left wing. But given that Marcus Rashford has not been consistent and Alejandro Garnacho is still young, Chiesa’s signing makes sense for United. He is one of the more experienced players and will add his qualities to the squad.
Federico Chiesa can also play on the right wing, but he is more dangerous on the left wing. The Red Devils can sign him this season or wait for another season and bring him in for free.
1. Chelsea
Chelsea have shown interest in signing the Italian winger. He can prove to be an ideal addition to the squad, which mainly consists of young players. Chiesa’s experience will be beneficial for the young squad both on and off the pitch.
Chelsea have Raheem Sterling, who has been poor ever since joining them while Christopher Nkunku was injured most of last season. Mykhaylo Mudryk is too raw and still not ready for the Premier League. This is where the Juventus winger’s signing will make complete sense.
