The Coffee Growers will take on the Leopards in group K

The upcoming clash in Zapopan carries enormous implications as both Group K nations look to build upon their contrasting but successful opening day performances in the FIFA World Cup. Colombia asserted their dominanace as they win over debutants Uzbekistan by 3-1. On the other hand, DR Congo stopped Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal from scoring, as the game ended in a 1-1 scoreline.

As the race for the knockout stage is heating up, both sides will look to get all three points and secure their spots. The South American side’s three-match winning run includes a World Cup victory and back-to-back friendly game wins, which they played for preparation.

They will be pretty confident going into this match. Colombia are a much better side quality-wise, but they can’t afford to take DR Congo lightly at all. We can expect a tight and competitive fixture on Tuesday.

DR Congo is a team that plays football with courage and shows no fear on the pitch, regardless of the opposition. They are a defensively well-oriented and structured side that can create an upset against Colombia. If they maintain their shape and structure and follow their plan, they might succeed in getting another point in the World Cup.

Lucho had a brilliant season with Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich, and he won two crucial trophies with the club. Diaz will be hungry for more, and he is in really good form. His performance was really consistent throughout this season, and he showed his quality on the pitch. He will be a big threat to the Congo defence in the upcoming clash.

He scored a goal and provided an assist in the last game against Uzbekistan, this season he played 50 matches in which he scored 25 goals and provided 19 assists.

Wissa scored DR Congo’s first World Cup goal in 52 years and achieved a historic result against one of the favourites of this World Cup, as the match ended in a 1-1 stalemate. Wissa plays for Newcastle United and is one of the key players for DR Congo. Colombia’s defence will be hard to break, but Wissa does have the quality to make things complicated for them.
