Copa America 2024 Betting favourites: Argentina backed to defend trophy, Brazil & Uruguay also in contention
La Albiceleste are the favourites to win the tournament.
Less than two weeks remain until the 48th edition of the Copa America, which will take place in the United States from June 20 to July 14. Matches will take place at fourteen different locations, with Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida hosting the championship game on July 14.
Argentina, the defending champions, will continue to be led by Lionel Messi. The Copa America stands as the oldest ongoing international football tournament with its inaugural edition taking place in 1916. The first trophy was won by Uruguay.
With 15 titles apiece, Argentina and Uruguay lead the Copa America all-time winners standing. Brazil, another South American powerhouse and the most successful team in the FIFA World Cup (having won five titles) are in second place with nine titles.
The best teams from South America, including Brazil, Uruguay, and Argentina, will square off this summer in 12 American cities and 14 stadiums for the title.
This year, the United States, Mexico, and several other nations in North and Central America have also been asked to partake in the event.
Argentina‘s chances of winning another Copa America are the brightest. As always, Brazil are dominant, but teams like Uruguay and Colombia also lead the way in terms of the odds market. Everything is in place for an intriguing event.
