Cristiano Ronaldo called Jhon Arias to promote Al-Nassr project reveals Faustino Asprilla

Ronaldo urged Arias to join his team before the player moved to the Premier League team Wolves.
Cristiano Ronaldo made every effort to deter Wolves from signing Jhon Arias from Fluminense to succeed Matheus Cunha, as the Portuguese looked to influence club transfers as well.
Wolves have agreed to recruit Arias from Fluminense after losing Cunha to Manchester United this summer. The 27-year-old was in high demand before Wolves swooped in, and is viewed as an instant substitute for Cunha at Molineux.
According to Faustino Asprilla, a former Colombian international, Cristiano Ronaldo called Arias to try to entice him to project in Saudi Arabia and urged him to join him at Al-Nassr instead of the Premier League team.
“Cristiano Ronaldo called Jhon Arias to go to Saudi Arabia before signing with Wolverhampton,” Asprilla revealed.

However, Ronaldo’s attempt seemingly went in vain. Arias is reportedly looking forward to life in the Premier League with Vitor Pereira’s team after turning down a lucrative move to the Saudi Pro League.
In a news conference announcing his departure from Fluminense, Arias gave an explanation of his decision to join Wolves.
“God has given me an opportunity that’s good for everyone, it’s good for me, it’s good for the club, and I’m having this chance to fulfill my dream of reaching the best league in the world,” he told reporters, referring to his long-standing desire to play in a major European league.
Meanwhile, after agreeing to a two-year contract extension with Al-Nassr, Ronaldo is now anticipating the start of the new season with the team. On the other hand, Wolves are currently playing preseason games and will start their new Premier League season against Manchester City on August 16.
