The Al Nassr star helped Portugal reach the semi-final of the Nations League.

With the Guinness World Record for the most victories in international football, Cristiano Ronaldo has added yet another honour to his collection.

Ronaldo set yet another international football record in November of last year when Portugal crushed Poland 5-1 and the Seleccao skipper scored twice. With 132 victories in international competitions, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner surpassed the mark held by his former Real Madrid teammate Sergio Ramos.

In recognition of his status as the player with the most international victories, Ronaldo was formally presented with a Guinness World Record certificate prior to Portugal’s Nations League quarterfinal second-leg matchup with Denmark at Estadio Jose Alvalade.

Ronaldo is also the first player to achieve 100 goals in the UEFA Champions League, the most-followed guy on Instagram, and the player with the most goals in international football, all of which hold Guinness World Records.

Unfortunately, Ronaldo missed a penalty kick in the early half of the match against Denmark, so he didn’t celebrate his most recent award win in style. However, the forward did make amends when he scored Portugal’s second goal to tie the scoreline as Portugal beat Denmark 5-3 on aggregate.

After making his debut in August 2003, the Portugal International has kept playing for his country for more than 20 years and hopes to participate in the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup.

With 135 goals in 217 games, he is the all-time top scorer in men’s international football in addition to his most recent accomplishment and given he is not retiring anytime soon, Ronaldo will continue to add more goals to his international tally.

Ronaldo will next return to action for Portugal in June when they face Germany in the semi-final of the competition as the former Real Madrid star will look to add the second Nations League trophy to his glittering career.
