The striker could join a club in the summer that is participating in the competition.

There has been a growing buzz in recent hours that Cristiano Ronaldo would participate in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup even though Al-Nassr did not qualify.

The 40-year-old Portuguese player has not yet extended his contract with the Saudi Arabian team, and it ends this summer.

An exceptional transfer window would be opened by FIFA, according to a report from Sky Sports in England. Free agents and players without contracts may negotiate with any of the 32 participating clubs.

Cristiano will have the chance to participate in the Club World Cup if he doesn’t extend his contract with Al Nassr and an official offer by the Saudi side is not made in time.

According to reports from other international media, Real Madrid, Inter Milan, and Al-Hilal (Saudi Arabia) are all interested in including CR7 in their teams for the tournament in the United States.

Cristiano Ronaldo claimed the Club World Cup four times in its previous iteration throughout his illustrious professional career (2000–2023). 2008 saw him win it with Manchester United, while 2014, 2016, and 2017 saw him win it with Real Madrid.

He has also scored seven goals in eight games played in this tournament’s history, making him the highest scorer.

In just 97 games since Ronaldo departed Manchester United for Al-Nassr in 2023, the 40-year-old has amassed an incredible 86 goals and 19 assists. Messi, on the other hand, joined Inter Miami from Paris Saint-Germain and has scored 38 goals and provided 20 assists in 44 games.

Next Friday, Ronaldo is going to play for Al-Nassr in their crucial matchup with Al-Hilal, another team vying for the Saudi Pro League crown.

Ronaldo linked with a move to Inter Miami?

Furthermore, some have said that he would sign a temporary contract with Inter Miami to play with Lionel Messi for the first time.

However, on his X (formerly Twitter) account, Italian reporter Fabrizio Romano stated that this information is untrue and that there is nothing at all.
