Former Al-Nassr manager has heaped praise on Cristiano Ronaldo’s dedication to the game and his obsession towards scoring goals despite being in his 40s.

The Portuguese star finished the last Saudi Pro League season as the top scorer, despite once again failing to win the Saudi Pro League title with the club.

Ronaldo’s commitment to the game speaks volumes. He is now in pursuit of another career landmark. The legend hopes to score 1,000 goals before the completion of his Al-Nassr deal.

The forward’s goalscoring quality hasn’t waned over the years as the former Real Madrid star has remained a clinical finisher in front of the goal. His record from the last two seasons for Al-Nassr further underlines his obsession towards scoring goals.

Since moving to the Saudi club, the forward has already recorded 93 goals in 105 matches. He is just seven goals away from reaching a century of goals for the club.

Stefano Pioli witnessed it all during his stint at the club from the dugout. He has some praise-worthy words for the former Juventus star. After returning to Italy, where he will manage Fiorentina, he said:

“It was an honor to coach him. I don’t know if he’s the strongest player in the history of football, but he’s a champion, a legend. I had a very good relationship with him; he’s an incredible professional. He’s obsessed with playing and scoring goals. His whole day is dedicated to the game, period.”

Many well-known coaches who have had the chance to manage Cristiano Ronaldo have seen what sort of quality he brings to the table. They are all aware of his goal-scoring exploits.

Although age might have caught up to him, he still remains the Saudi team’s most crucial player. His recent signing of a new deal with Al-Nassr has indicated that the club will count on him for two more seasons to deliver trophies, while he also keeps his sights on individual records.
