Ronaldo has turned 41 today.

Even though most football players retire considerably earlier, Cristiano Ronaldo, who turned 41, is still playing at a high level. He clarified in the WHOOP Podcast that his lengthy career is a result of everyday discipline and routine rather than just aptitude.

Ronaldo claimed that since motivation isn’t always present, he doesn’t rely on it. He acknowledged that he occasionally faces mental challenges, but he still pushes himself to complete the task. Doing the difficult things even when you don’t feel like it is what makes a difference, he says.

He added that persevering through challenging times increases mental toughness.
