Both stars have played for Real Madrid in their career.

Wesley Sneijder, a former Real Madrid player, has been considered by Al-Nassr star Cristiano Ronaldo to come out of retirement and join the Saudi club.

The legendary player from Portugal has previously stated that he is eager to reach the lofty objective of 1,000 career goals before he hangs up his boots. With his most recent goal for Portugal against Hungary, the 40-year-old is getting closer to realising his dream. His remarkable career has seen him score 943 goals to date.

Cristiano Ronaldo has plenty of time to continue and reach the 1,000-goal milestone after agreeing to a new two-year contract with Al-Nassr back in June.

After leaving Real Madrid soon after Ronaldo signed in the summer of 2009, former player Wesley Sneijder has recently disclosed that he has heard the Portuguese player is eager for him to come out of retirement to play for Al-Nassr and assist him in achieving his goal.

According to Sneijder, he recently met with Simão Coutinho, the new technical director of Al-Nassr and a close friend of Ronaldo. The former Inter Milan midfielder was informed that the club captain would be thrilled to have him join the Saudi Pro League team.
