Crystal Palace star Ismaila Sarr out for weeks with hamstring injury

Ismaila Sarr’s club’s head coach had recently revealed he suffered a muscle injury.
Due to a hamstring injury, Ismaila Sarr, a winger for Crystal Palace, has left Senegal’s roster. Sarr scored in Sunday night’s 3-0 victory over Aston Villa for Palace, but he came off in the last moments of play.
During the international break, the 27-year-old was called up to the Senegalese national team for their forthcoming World Cup qualifying matches against Sudan and DR Congo.
However, Union Saint-Gilloise winger Ousseynou Niang took the place of Ismaila Sarr in Senegal’s roster after Sarr was ruled out of both games.
MRI scan reveals a Grade II tear

“An MRI scan performed today in London revealed a grade II muscle injury to his right hamstring. Therefore, he will be unavailable for the next two matches,” read a statement by the Senegalese Football Federation.
The Palace winger may be out for at least four weeks due to a grade two hamstring tear, which has also been verified by Senegal’s national team. Palace will play Sunderland at Selhurst Park on September 13 following the international break.
Sarr has quietly emerged as a key member of Oliver Glasner’s Crystal Palace team. He has been a great addition to the team alongside the star striker Jean-Philippe Mateta. He got off to a rough start the previous season but has since found his rhythm and hasn’t looked back.
Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise are no longer available to Oliver Glasner. The former made the dream transfer to Arsenal this summer, while the latter has, of course, been a mainstay at Bayern Munich since departing last year. Naturally, it is now the duty of players like Sarr to support Mateta, particularly while Yeremy Pino, the new addition, settles at the club.
Which injury has Sarr suffered?
He has suffered a grade II muscle injury to his right hamstring.
How long grade 2 hamstring injury take to recover?
A moderate (Grade 2) strain can take several weeks.
When will Palace next play?
They will next play on 13th September against Sunderland.
