The Eagles have featured in two FA Cup finals previously.
Manchester City are going to take on Crystal Palace in the FA Cup 2024-25 final at Wembley Stadium. The Cityzens and the Eagles are all set to give their all to win the Football Association Challenger Cup title.
Both teams have shown over-the-top performances in their FA Cup campaign this season and deserve to be in the final of the tournament. The better side will go on to win their first silverware of the season.
Manchester City are coming in as the favourites for the FA Cup final this season. They will be eyeing the victory in the 90 minutes itself, but Crystal Palace can come up with a tight battle here. Both teams will have extra time to contest if the match ends in a draw during the normal time.
Later on, the match can also head to the penalties if both sides end on level terms in the extra time as well.
Head-to-Head
Crystal Palace have lost all of their last three FA Cup clashes against Manchester City. The last was in 2016-17 when the Cityzens secured an easy 3-0 win over the Eagles.
Their last recent fixture was in the English Premier League. Both sides battled to a seven-goal thriller with Man City coming out on top with a 5-2 win, even after Crystal Palace took the lead first. The Cityzens gave their all to make a comeback and emerged as the winning team against the Eagles.
Another contest between these sides during the 2024-25 season ended in a 2-2 draw. They are likely to produce a high-scoring contest if their previous results are considered.
Prediction
The Opta supercomputer, which runs multiple simulations for an outcome, has favoured Manchester City to win the FA Cup final against Crystal Palace inside 90 minutes in 52.5% of simulations.
There is a chance of Crystal Palace as well to win the fixture in normal time, but only in 24.4% of simulations. 23.2% of simulations have shown the match between the two sides ending in a draw in normal time.
