Dani Carvajal labels Trent Alexander-Arnold signing 'understandable'

The full-back flirted with the possibility of leaving the Spanish club.
Considering the severity of his injury, Dani Carvajal has returned to the field as if he had never been away, and it is astounding to see how fit the full-back appears.
The seasoned player started the team’s match against Real Oviedo after coming off the bench against Osasuna.
The manager clearly believes in him, as evidenced by the fact that he even played a few minutes in the third game against Mallorca, perhaps even more so than his recently recruited rival, Trent Alexander-Arnold.
In a recent interview with the media, the Real Madrid veteran was questioned about a wide range of subjects, including his competition at right-back and his role in Xabi Alonso’s ambitions.
Dani Carvajal updates on his future & competition with Trent Alexander-Arnold for right-back spot

He started by offering his thoughts on competing for a spot in the starting lineup against Real Madrid’s new acquisition, Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Carvajal said: “Trent? It’s understandable why he was signed. I was 32 years old and had a serious injury. It’s normal. I won’t be here forever. The years go by, and we have to bring in new talent.”
Dani Carvajal has been with the club since 2013 and has remained their undisputed starter at the right-back spot for over a decade. But given he is now 33, he won’t forever be the club’s first-choice starter.
Madrid have already found his successor after signing Trent Alexander-Arnold from Liverpool in the summer window. Meanwhile, Trent will now be seen as a first-choice player for the club, with Dani Carvajal set to be the second fiddle.
This will also help the Spanish player in avoiding any major injury after he spent the majority of the last season with a knee injury. Now he will mainly be used more as a substitute than a starter in the games.
Which injury did Carvajal suffer?
He suffered an ACL injury last October.
When is Carvajal leaving Madrid?
He didn’t mention when he will leave, but confirmed he won’t he at the club forever.
When did he join the club?
In 2013, he joined the LaLiga club.
