Date, kick-off time & teams confirmed for Nexon Icons Match 2025 featuring Rooney, Gerrard, Bale, Henry & more

Legendary players from around the globe will play a friendly game in South Korea.

Former football stars representing FC Shield United and FC Spear, respectively, will face each other in Nexon Icons Match 2025 at the Seoul World Cup Stadium. Using Iconic players in games like EA FC allows fans to quickly relive their childhood, but in real life, similar experiences are more difficult to find, albeit not impossible.

A real-world matchup of soccer heavyweights, the 2025 Icons Match is being organised by South Korean firm NEXON and will feature in-game activities for EA FC Online and EA FC Mobile, which it publishes.

Two elite rosters, known as FC Spear and Shield United, will compete against one another in this tournament, which will take place on September 13 and 14 at the Seoul World Cup Stadium in the capital of South Korea.

FC Spear hopes to make amends in the rematch after Shield United won the game 4-1 the previous year.

While tickets for the live event sold out in 20 minutes, fans from all around the world can watch the game online and via FC Mobile’s in-game broadcast channel. There will be in-game activities related to the Icons Match on both FC Mobile and FC Online.

When is the Nexon Icons Match 2025?

• The Nexon Icons Match 2025 will take place on Sunday, September 14.
• Kick-off is set to be at 11.30 am BST (7.30 pm local time).
• The Seoul World Cup Stadium will host.
