Denmark predicted lineup for UEFA Euro 2024
De Rød-Hvide will be among the dark horses for the trophy.
With a strong campaign in Euro 2020 where they reached the semi-finals, Denmark is in excellent form for the tournament after securing three consecutive wins in their recent matches. With the right balance of experience and youth in the setup, Kasper Hjulmand’s side has the ability to challenge any team.
Drawn in Group C, where they will face England, Serbia, and Slovenia, Denmark will be the center of attention this time around. Expectations are high. The first match of the tournament is against England at Deutsche Bank Park, where they will be looking to avenge their semi-final loss from last year.
Denmark Predicted Lineup (Formation: 5-3-2)
GK: Kasper Schmeichel
Kasper Schmeichel has had a phenomenal career to date, with the veteran keeper earning over 101 caps for the national team. He has been a mainstay for Denmark and has seen all the highs and lows with the team. Schmeichel currently plays club football for Anderlecht, where he has made 32 appearances. He is an experienced head between the sticks who guides his defense efficiently and makes crucial saves. He also helps his defense at set-pieces by collecting the ball in dangerous situations.
RWB: Joakim Mæhle
The Wolfsburg man had a good season in the Bundesliga, making 30 appearances, scoring two goals, and assisting three. He has made the right wing-back position his own in the national team after impressive performances. Mæhle has a knack for scoring crucial goals and has made 45 appearances for Denmark, netting 11 goals.
CB: Joachim Andersen
Joachim Andersen is an excellent ball-playing defender who can make threatening passes from the back. He currently plays for Crystal Palace, where he made 38 appearances, scoring two goals and providing three assists. Since his breakthrough for Denmark in 2019, he has been involved in 32 appearances but is yet to score for the national team.

CB: Andreas Christensen
Andreas Christensen excels at distributing the ball from the back and joining in attacks. He is calm and composed, helping the team release pressure with neat passes. Christensen is also versatile, capable of playing in midfield or at right-back. This season, he has made 30 appearances, scoring two goals and assisting another two.
CB: Jannik Vestergaard
Jannik Vestergaard is the most experienced defender in the lineup. He currently plays for Leicester City, helping them secure promotion back to the Premier League this season. Vestergaard made 42 appearances, scoring two goals and helping keep clean sheets. He is a tall, physical defender who is dangerous from set-pieces.
LWB: Rasmus Kristensen
Rasmus Kristensen had a successful season on loan at Roma, helping them finish in the top six in Serie A and reach the semi-final of the UEFA Europa League. He made 29 appearances, scoring one goal and assisting one. Kristensen is yet to score for the national team after over 20 appearances.
CM: Pierre-Emile Højbjerg
The Tottenham Hotspur man had a good season with the Lilywhites, making 36 appearances. Højbjerg is a warrior in the middle of the park, putting his body on the line to make defensive blocks and often shielding the back four. He has made 77 appearances for Denmark, scoring ten goals.
CM: Christian Nørgaard
Christian Nørgaard is emerging as a valuable player for Denmark after performing impressively. He has made 25 appearances since breaking into the national team in 2018. Nørgaard currently plays for Brentford, where he is a crucial part of their setup.
CM: Christian Eriksen
Christian Eriksen is a vital member of the Denmark team, known for his vision and ability to play defense-splitting passes. He manages the team’s tempo and rhythm from midfield. Eriksen has made over 130 appearances for Denmark, scoring 41 goals.
ST: Rasmus Højlund
Rasmus Højlund has become the number one striker for Denmark after breaking onto the scene at Atalanta. He made 34 appearances, netting ten goals. Højlund had a remarkable 2023 with the national team, scoring seven goals in 12 matches. He currently plays for Manchester United, making 43 appearances, scoring 16
goals, and assisting two.
ST: Jonas Wind
Jonas Wind had an incredible season for Wolfsburg, netting 11 goals in 34 appearances and providing seven assists. He has made 27 appearances for Denmark, scoring eight goals. Wind will be key in developing chemistry with Højlund upfront.
