Denmark began their Euro 2024 campaign with a draw in the opening match after being held to a 1-1 score. They were disappointed not to win the game after Rasmus Højlund and others failed to convert their chances. Kasper Hjulmand’s men will now face an England side who defeated them in the semi-final in 2020.

This will be a crucial game for them as they cannot afford any more slip-ups as this will haunt their chances for a place in the last 16. Denmark will have to put the same performance they put in the first half of the previous match as they were outstanding in that phase but slowed down in the final part of the game. 

England started the Euros on a winning note after defeating Serbia in the opening match, thanks to Jude Bellingham netting the only goal of the game. The Three Lions were the better side throughout the match but couldn’t capitalize on their early dominance as they managed to finish the match in a nervy manner.

Despite the abundance of talent in the squad, Gareth Southgate will have to find a way to bring Phil Foden and Bukayo Saka into the game as this can positively influence the game after failing to impact in the earlier game.

Christian Eriksen (Denmark) 

Christian Eriksen has had a great start to the Euro 2024 by scoring the only goal for Denmark in their opening match against Slovenia. He scored after receiving a clever flick from Wind in the penalty box and then slotting the ball past the keeper.

It’s an amazing turnaround for him considering he had to leave the field in the last Euros, and now he’s the player of the match in the opening game. Eriksen will be a threat to the England defence in the upcoming match due to his excellent passing abilities. 

Jude Bellingham (England) 

Jude Bellingham has announced his name on the World stage after putting on another masterclass, this time against Serbia in the opening match. He deservedly was given the player of the match award after putting another impressive performance in the heart of the midfield.

Bellingham’s run from midfield to score the goal was eye-catching to watch as Serbia were left shocked as they couldn’t trace his run. After a successful season with Real Madrid where he won the league and Champions League with them, he was announced as the player of the season in LaLiga.
