Did US President Donald Trump really call Cristiano Ronaldo 'The GOAT' at White House?

The Portuguese star visited the White House alongside Saudi delegation.
Football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo visited the White House on Tuesday as President Donald Trump honoured Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman with a lavish dinner.
Along with prominent corporate figures like Apple CEO Tim Cook and Tesla creator Elon Musk, the football star sat close to the front of the East Room, where the president and crown prince addressed officials from both countries.
Since signing a record $200 million-per-year contract with the Saudi team Al Nassr at the end of 2022, Ronaldo has become the face of Saudi football.
In June, the 40-year-old Portuguese star agreed to a two-year contract extension with Al Nassr, which is primarily owned by the crown prince’s Saudi sovereign wealth fund. He also became part-owner of the club in the process.
Did Donald Trump call Cristiano Ronaldo ‘The GOAT’?
Trump expressed gratitude to the Portuguese star for coming. Also mentioning, Barron, his youngest son, is a “big fan” of Ronaldo.
“You know, my son is a big fan of Cristiano Ronaldo. We have Ronaldo here, I think my son respects his father a little more now that I’ve introduced you. Thank you for being here, it’s an honor.” said Trump.
However, a quote is circulating on social media, with Donald Trump reportedly saying, “Cristiano Ronaldo is the greatest of all time,”.
The quote is most likely fake, initially coming from X fan account NoodleHairCR7, who is known for posting fake quotes occasionally.
