DR Congo announce FIFA World Cup 2026 squad ft. Premier League stars Aaron Wan-Bissaka & Yoane Wissa
DR Congo have confirmed their official squad for World Cup.
With their first World Cup appearance since 1974, DR Congo are getting ready for a momentous occasion. In Group K, where the Leopards will play Portugal, Colombia, and Uzbekistan. Head coach Sébastien Desabre has revealed an ambitious team that can contend with the formidable opponents.
Despite being in a challenging group, the Leopards will face tough tests against the Selecao and Colombia in the group matches, but overcoming Uzbekistan shouldn’t pose a danger for them.
Throughout the competition, the Congolese team will be led by seasoned leaders like Yoane Wissa, Chancel Mbemba, and Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
Additionally, Sébastien Desabre has selected a well-rounded team that combines gifted players who are familiar with African football with stars from Europe and will be ready to deliver at the highest stage of football.
After decades away from the international scene, the Leopards aspire to provide one of the World Cup 2026 surprises.
