Top five Dutch players with most appearances for Barcelona ft. Koeman & De Jong

Many Dutch players have represented the Catalan club.
Although FC Barcelona have always taken pride in producing players from its La Masia program, there has been a Dutch influence throughout the Blaugrana ever since the legendary Johan Cruyff transformed the club in the 1970s.
Frenkie De Jong remains the last Dutch player to join Barcelona. Since his arrival, the native of Arkel has already cemented his place as one of the Dutch stars in the club’s history. He has also set a new record at the club recently.
List of Dutch players with the most appearances for Barcelona
| Rank | Players | Appearances |
| 5 | Michael Reiziger | 255 |
| 4 | Partick Kluivert | 257 |
| 3 | Ronald Koeman | 264 |
| 2 | Philip Cou | 292 |
| 1 | Frenkie de Jong | 293 |
5. Michael Reiziger: 255
Michael Reiziger joined the team in 1997 alongside coach Louis van Gaal. Although not being a preferred player on the team sheet, he was always a smart option at the back. When Reiziger left on a free in 2004, he had won two LaLiga titles, a Copa del Rey, and the Super Cup.
4. Patrick Kluivert: 257
Patrick Kluivert was popular from his debut game for Barcelona. He was a player whose innate ability to score goals was evident, as he was the team’s leading scorer in three of his six seasons. However, Kluivert could only win one title in his Barcelona career.
Kluivert’s stint with Barça was devoid of trophies, but he had a great relationship with Rivaldo during his time there. He was consistently the most prolific goal scorer until his departure in 2004.
3. Ronald Koeman: 264
One of the most significant goals in Barcelona’s recent history, the rocket against Sampdoria at Wembley that won the team its second European Cup in 1992, was scored by Koeman. However, Koeman will be remembered for much more. He was an amazing competitor with legendary free-kick ability, especially for a full-back.
He was extremely disciplined in his defensive duties but loved to move forward whenever possible. Koeman was enormous and whole. In a dominant 90s for Cruyff’s Barça, the Dutchman, a defender by trade, had a flair for getting forward and scoring thundering goals, especially free-kicks.
2. Philip Cou: 292
Philip Cocu was another Dutch member of the team. He constituted the midfield with players like Pep Guardiola, Luis Figo, Xavi, and others. Despite his controversy at the time, his Barça’s reputation was unaffected, as one of the most capped foreign players.
When Van Gaal returned in 2002, Cocu remained and was promoted to vice-captain, in contrast to many of the other Dutchmen who either departed or were let go. He was captain for the majority of his final season at the club and left the club in 2004.
1. Frenkie de Jong: 293

At FC Barcelona, Frenkie de Jong is still adding to his legacy. The Dutch midfielder surpassed Phillip Cocu, who gave his countryman a commemorative shirt on Wednesday, as he became the Dutch player with the most appearances in club history. De Jong now has 293 official appearances in the blaugrana jersey after the game against Celta at Spotify Camp Nou.
With seven trophies overall—two leagues, two domestic cups, and three Spanish Super Cups—De Jong is presently the second most decorated Dutch player in Barça history. With 10 trophies, only Koeman has more.
