Ederson got injured against Spurs
Two more injury worries were raised for Manchester City after their pivotal victory over Tottenham on Tuesday night.
On the last day of play, the reigning Premier League champions take on West Ham at the Etihad Stadium with just one more win needed to secure the title. But while Ederson is now completely declared out, there are worries about Kevin De Bruyne heading into the weekend.
The Brazilian custodian will not play against the Hammers and is not anticipated to be available for the FA Cup final on May 25 at Wembley against Manchester United. As a result, Stefan Ortega, the backup, will have the opportunity to step up and assist dominating City in winning the double.
After suffering a horrific collision with Cristian Romero at the back post and requiring extensive treatment on the pitch, the custodian was taken off the pitch against Tottenham in the second half.
Ederson led for a short while before being replaced by Ortega, who was instrumental in helping City cross the finish line by making crucial one-on-one saves against Heung-min Son and Dejan Kulusevski.

Stefan Ortega eventually took his position as the backup. Ederson’s right eye was swollen when he left the pitch, and City has now verified that he had a minor eye socket fracture.
As a result, Ederson will be out from City’s last Premier League game on Sunday against West Ham, where a victory would give Pep Guardiola’s team a fourth straight title. The South American custodian will also miss the Cityzens’ FA Cup final matchup with nearby rivals Manchester United.
However, even if the German stopper had been available, Ortega would have probably started because he is frequently the first choice in domestic cup events.
This season, there have been fifteen instances of custodian substitutions in the Premier League. Remarkably, four of them are due to Ortega substituting for an injured Ederson.
