Emmanuel Petit urges Arsenal to sign Paul Pogba

The France midfielder is still under contract with Juventus.
Former France football player Emmanuel Petit feels that Paul Pogba should join Arsenal after the midfielder’s four-year ban was reduced to 18 months. Pogba can start training in January and can return to action in March next year.
Although he is currently under contract with Juventus, the player is unlikely to play for the Serie A club. Talks over his termination of the deal are going on with the Italian club.
Once the midfielder’s contract is terminated, Pogba will be a free agent and many clubs will be able to make an offer to the midfielder.
Paul Pogba is already linked with a move to many clubs. Strong speculations reveal that he could join MLS side Inter Miami. But Petit feels that Arsenal should take the gamble and sign the former Manchester United player.
The 1998 World Cup winner is happy that Pogba’s doping ban has been reduced but he is unsure that the midfielder will be at his peak when he returns to the field.
“I’m genuinely pleased for him, but let’s face it, he’s 31 or 32 now. His largest competitive outing was over a year ago in September. To return to the highest echelons of football would indeed require a miracle,” Petit says.
“Honestly, Arsenal should 100% gamble on signing Paul Pogba. He will give everything on the pitch. It will take him a few weeks to get fully fit, but he will be so eager to wash his name. There is a motivation that is priceless to a manager like Mikel Arteta,” according to Petit.
Pogba who played for Manchester United will have to consider his options before making a call on his future, as his deal with Serie A club is yet to be terminated.
Arsenal already boasts enough midfield depth. But if they feel that Pogba can add additional quality then they can take the gamble and sign the player.
