The Three Lions will face Andorra and Senegal in June matches.

Ivan Toney, a former Brentford attacker, has been picked up for the England team for the games against Andorra and Senegal next month.

The 29-year-old is making his first appearance since joining Al-Ahli of Saudi Arabia last summer after leaving the Bees. The last of his six England outings was during Spain’s Euro 2024 campaign, where they lost in the final.

Despite being left out of the coach’s initial team in March, his 28 goals in 42 matches this season persuaded England head coach Thomas Tuchel to take a closer look.

On June 7, England will play Andorra in a World Cup qualifying match. On June 10, they host Senegal at Nottingham Forest’s City Ground for a friendly match.

Tuchel has chosen eight players from four teams, which will compete in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup: Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, and Atlético Madrid.

Jude Bellingham of Real Madrid has also been selected, even though the midfielder will soon have shoulder surgery.

After the Club World Cup, the 21-year-old will undergo surgery to address a problem that has plagued him since 2023.

Phil Foden, a midfielder for Manchester City, is conspicuously missing. No Manchester United player has been called up. Trevoh Chalobah, a defender for Chelsea, is called up to the senior squad for the first time.
