England announce squad for March international break; Marcus Rashford returns

The Three Lions will face Latvia and Albania in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
Marcus Rashford, an attacking player for Aston Villa, was included in Thomas Tuchel’s first England squad as coach.
Rashford has made an impression since joining Villa on loan from Manchester United in January. His most recent appearance for England was in a friendly match against Brazil in March 2024.
He missed the 2024–25 Nations League season and was left out of the Euro 2024 squad, where Spain defeated England in the final.
After getting their first call-up, Myles Lewis-Skelly of Arsenal and Dan Burn, a defender for Newcastle, are expected to make their debuts.
England will play Albania and Latvia at Wembley on Friday, March 21, and Monday, March 24, respectively, to begin their 2026 World Cup qualification quest.
Despite only making his senior professional debut for Arsenal in September, Lewis-Skelly, 18, has already established himself as a key member of the Gunners.
In Sunday’s 2-2 draw with Bournemouth, Tottenham striker Dominic Solanke made his full comeback following a two-month injury absence. He was included ahead of Ollie Watkins of Aston Villa.
Jordan Henderson, a midfielder for Ajax, is one experienced figure whom Tuchel has relied upon in addition to looking to the younger generation.
Henderson, 34, last played for the national team against Malta in November 2023. He earned his senior debut in 2010 under the previous non-English boss, Fabio Capello.
