England retain UEFA Women's Euro title with 3-1 penalty shootout win over Spain

After a 1-1 draw post extra time, the England women’s football team defeated Spain 3-1 on penalty kicks to successfully defend their Euro crown.

Mariona Caldentey provided the Spanish women’s team with the early advantage. They earned it with a fantastic header from Caldentey, who met Ona Batlle’s accurate cross. They had significantly controlled the first half of normal time.
