England U-17 announce squad for FIFA U-17 World Cup; Arsenal youngster Max Dowman left out

The Three Lions will start their tournament against Venezuela.
Head coach Neil Ryan has announced the England U-17 team for the FIFA U-17 World Cup in Qatar in November. The team will now prepare for the competition, which is set to start in early November.
A 21-man squad has been chosen for the Young Lions’ trip to Qatar for the 48-team competition at the conclusion of the month. Their first match is against Venezuela on Tuesday, November 4.
On Friday, November 7, they play their second game against Haiti. On Monday, November 10, they play Egypt to finish the group stage.
The 48-team competition then moves on to the knockout phases, which include a round of 32 followed by a round of 16, which is then followed by the quarterfinals, semi-finals, and ultimately the final on November 27.
There are many changes in the squad, but the name that got the most attention following his omission is Arsenal forward Max Downman. He was expected to get a call-up, but surprisingly, he has been left out despite his impressive pre-season with the club.
