Erik ten Hag opens up about new Manchester United recruitment system after INEOS take over

The Red Devils have already completed two big signings this summer
Erik ten Hag has now revealed that his influence has been taken away from the playerâs recruitment process after the club overhauled an entire board under new owner INOES.
Although it was anticipated that he would depart Old Trafford this summer, the owner of INEOS decided to keep the Dutchman after consulting with new board members. Ten Hagâs stay was contingent on his exerting less of an influence on hiring.
Since then, United have been busy adding Leny Yoro and Joshua Zirkzee to their roster and has been connected to Matthijs de Ligt. Furthermore, Ten Hag has finally clarified the precise amount of involvement he had in those transactions.
âA lot has been taken away from me in scouting and recruitment. That is necessaryâ, told AD. âYou need a very strong structure in scouting/transfer policy. âThe club has acquired incredible know-how and knowledge of the market that helps me. Very good signsâ.
Itâs unlikely that the Red Devils will cut back on their expenditures any time soon. Unitedâs top midfield target right now is Manuel Ugarte of PSG and are now closing on his signing.
Jarrad Branthwaite and Matthijs de Ligt are also both favour centre-backs. The Bayern star is presently viewed as a more likely signing than the Everton player, and if he joins them, he would become the second Dutchman acquired this summer.
United want to implement new policies and allow the board to have maximum influence in the signing of new players as seen by last season when only a few of the Ten Hagâs signings made an impact.
One of the biggest flops has been Antony who was signed with a mammoth fee but has been a liability ever since he joined them and now the club is open to selling him.
Another positive thing from the new board has been quick signings as United have been able to wrap the acquisitions in whom they have shown interest otherwise it would have gone on and on for weeks.
