The striker was taken off in the 76th minute against Arsenal.
Erling Haaland was forced off during the 1-1 draw with Arsenal due to a back injury. However, Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is optimistic that he will be able to bounce back quickly.
After 76 minutes at the Emirates Stadium, Haaland was unexpectedly removed. Guardiola later clarified that the Norway forward requested to be replaced due to back pain.
Erling Haaland is probably going to miss Wednesday’s Carabao Cup trip to Huddersfield Town.
Guardiola confirms Haaland’s injury status

However, Pep Guardiola thinks the 25-year-old might make a comeback for Saturday when Burnley visit the Etihad Stadium.
“Recovery yesterday [Monday], he didn’t train and I didn’t see him and the rest of the players yet today,” Guardiola said at his news conference on Tuesday.
“Hopefully he can play at the weekend. It’s been such a demanding week — the last game especially — and sometimes the players have problems. I think he will be fine for the weekend. I hope so.”
For City’s last three matches against Manchester United, Napoli, and Arsenal, Guardiola has used the same starting lineup.
Guardiola updates on other players’ injuries
However, he has stated that he would make changes for the match against Huddersfield Town. Haaland is not the only well-known player scheduled to have the evening off.
“It would have been perfect for [Rayan] Cherki, [Rayan] Ait-Nouri, Omar [Marmoush] but there are many players who can’t play because they are injured. We will try to compete and go through.”
Even with the modifications, Kalvin Phillips is unlikely to be recalled.
After loan stints at West Ham and Ipswich, the midfield player is back at City. The 29-year-old is recovering from an Achilles injury, but he will not be included in the squad for the match against Huddersfield.
“Today [Tuesday] he is in London because he will be a father for the second time,” Guardiola said.
“He’s coming back, training with us and we will see what happens. He’s coming from surgery so now has to make training sessions and maybe some minutes in some games.”
