Erling Haaland vs Cristiano Ronaldo: Stats comparison at age of 24

Haaland already has nine goals in four league games for City this season.
Without question, Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the best football players the world has ever seen. While there are certainly good reasons to support giants from bygone times like Pele and Diego Maradona, the general perception is that the contemporary star is unrivalled.
It will be an enormous and nearly impossible effort for any player in the future to match the high standards set by Ronaldo during the last 20 years, during which he has won several team and individual accolades in addition to five Ballon d’Or awards.
Norwegian goal scorer Erling Haaland of Manchester City is one player who is currently making every effort to be regarded as one of the best players in football.
Haaland seems to have earned the best striker status considering the player has been producing goals ever since he joined Manchester City. He has reached 99 goals in just 103 games for the Premier League side.
Although there have been some similarities in his brief career to date between him and Ronaldo in particular. How has he fared when compared to Ronaldo at his age? Here’s a much closer look at that, with some startling findings.
Erling Haaland vs Cristiano Ronaldo: Stats compared at the age of 24
If we compare Erling Haaland and Cristiano Ronaldo’s numbers at the age of 24 then there is a contrasting difference in terms of goals scored by both players.
Haaland is ripping up the Premier League and is already considered one of the best strikers in modern football. The forward has produced 256 goals in his career in just 313 games which is astonishing for a player who is just 24.
One can imagine with his speed of scoring goals he could break many records held by Ronaldo. Meanwhile, Ronaldo had 132 goals in 362 games when he reached 24.
But there is a big difference given that in his early 20s, Ronaldo was a winger, while Haaland is a striker. Ronaldo later switched his position and became a striker. The former Real Madrid player, who is 39, has already crossed the 900-goal mark and continues to score goals, which is certainly what the Norwegian will look to break in future.
