Euro 2024: Rafael Leao receives yellow card for diving in two successive games; set to miss Georgia clash

The AC Milan forward has picked back-to-back yellow cards in Euro 2024 games.
Rafael Leao has been suspended for next Portugal game after receiving a yellow card in the match against Turkey. The AC Milan forward was already shown a yellow card in the opening game of Euro 2024 against Czechia.
Portugal edged Czechia narrowly by 2-1 in their opening game of the Euro 2024 tournament which gave them three points on the table. A Selecao are currently leading Turkey 3-0 and if they emerge victorious against Turkey then they will be able to secure the spot in the last 16 rounds of the competition.
Meanwhile, Rafael Leao has started back-to-back games but is going to miss the last Portugal group match which is against Georgia. The AC Milan forward was replaced in the last game after failing to make an impact when Portugal were behind.
The Rossoneri winger saw both good and terrible moments in his team’s 2-1 victory over Czechia in their opening EURO 2024 match; nevertheless, Diogo Jota replaced him after 63 minutes.
Due to suspension, the winger missed two Serie A matches during the previous season, 2023-24, which Milan lost. He was crucial to Milan’s success the previous season, and in the three games in which he was left off the roster, Milan managed just one league victory.
Leao has been Milan’s star player since his arrival but the Portuguese forward has suffered a dip in form. In his first campaign, he enjoyed a productive season which saw many clubs interested in signing him but the forward extended his deal with Milan.
The forward had a poor season last term with Milan and couldn’t replicate his previous form but the Euro 2024 will provide the forward with another shot at redemption, though so far the former LOSC Lille forward hasn’t been convincing.
