Germany scored last minute to secure a 1-1 draw with Switzerland

Germany thought they would suffer a big setback when the Swiss were close to winning the UEFA Euro 2024 Group A game but the substitution Fullkrug made sure the host nation top their Group.

However, the referee, persuaded by video assistant replays, correctly disallowed the goal because Jamal Musiala had fouled Michel Aebischer. Then, in minute 28, Fabian Rieder won the ball, drove forward, and Dan Ndoye skillfully volleyed home Remo Freuler’s wonderful cross to give Switzerland the lead.

Germany, who now advance as Euro 2024 Group A champions, were spared a tie at the conclusion of another amazing game thanks to an incredible header from Niclas Fullkrug in injury time. Switzerland, who had gained the lead in the first half and were outstanding the entire time, finished in second place and advanced to the round of 16.

Scotland were defeated 1-0 by Hungary in a thrilling match at Euro 2024, meaning they were eliminated from the group stage of a major tournament once more. Pushing forward in an attempt to secure a victory that would send them into the knockout stages, Scotland were stunned in the 100th minute when Kevin Csoboth delivered a sucker punch on the counterattack. Hungary’s victory sustains their slim chances of making it to the round of 16.

Germany have guaranteed their place in the top two and advanced to the round of 16. They drew 1-1 with Switzerland to win the group.

After winning one group match and drawing with Germany, Switzerland placed second in Group A. In the meanwhile, Hungary advanced to the round of 16 after defeating Scotland 1-0.

Group B

Spain and Italy reach the last 16 spots of Euro 2024, Croatia are doubtful for the knockout stage and Albania are out of the competition.

With a convincing 1-0 victory over a determined but now eliminated Albania on Monday, Spain maintained their unbeaten start to Euro 2024. A fantastic goal from Ferran Torres early in the match was enough to make it three consecutive wins at the competition.

After Dani Olmo slipped the ball through to Torres, who scored a wonderful low shot off the far post, Spain had already advanced to the round of sixteen.

Torres, Mikel Merino, and Joselu all had scoring opportunities as Spain dominated the game. Albania battled valiantly for a goal the entire way, with replacement Armando Broja and Kristjan Asllani pressing custodian David Raya into long-range saves.

Italy score injury time goal to make it to the last 16.

Italy’s Mattia Zaccagni scored a remarkable goal in additional time to rescue a 1-1 draw against Croatia. This will probably send Croatia home and secure Italy’s spot in the round of 16 of Euro 2024.

Luka Modric of Croatia saw a spot denied in the 54th minute following a goalless first half, but sixty seconds later, he slammed in a rebound after Gianluigi Donnarumma produced another excellent save from Ante Budimir.

Italy, the reigning champions, came alive after the goal and pushed for the equaliser that would send them through. With seconds remaining, Zaccagni curled home a long-range strike to crush Croatian hearts.
