France and Spain face each other in the semi-final of Euro 2024.

The 31-year-old Alvaro Morata has started four of Spain’s five Euro 2024 games thus far. He scored in their 3-0 group-stage victory against Croatia and is anticipated to play when his team takes on France in Tuesday’s semifinal in Munich.

Before initially joining Atletico Madrid in 2019, Morata had already played for Real Madrid, Juventus and Chelsea. He has a tense relationship with some Spain fans.

During Spain’s Euro 2020 campaign, home fans whistled him once and again in March of this year during a friendly against Brazil at the Bernabéu.

Following earlier false reports that said he was given a yellow card while being substituted during Spain’s 2-1 quarterfinal victory over Germany, Alvaro Morata ‘officially’ will be permitted to play against France.

He has been one of the reliable strikers for Spain at every tournament scoring crucial goals for the La Roja. The centre-forward opened his Euro 2024 goal-scoring account in Spain’s opening game against Croatia.

Morata is enduring a dry spell as of late after scoring only once in the championship despite appearing in all five games for his country. He will face one of the most robust defensive teams in the semi-final and the centre-forward will need to be at his clinical best if he hopes to extend his Euro 2024 tally of one goal.

Alvaro Morata record vs France

Morata has faced France only once and in the second opportunity, he was injured. The striker failed to score a goal in that solo chance he got so far. The Atlético Madrid forward will play against Les Bleus for the second time in his career.

In order to score another goal in the competition, the forward must be at the peak of his precision abilities. Despite being Spain’s chosen striker, Morata has not performed particularly well in the competition thus far, failing to score enough goals.

Despite Morata not getting often in the scoresheet, Spain have been one of the most threatening sides in the Euros as they boast impressive attacking intent and are just the second nation to score the most goals in the tournament.
