Lazio are the only side to secure a spot in the last 16 so far.
The trophy for Europe’s secondary club championship will be contested by 36 teams. Similar to the UEFA Champions League for 2024–2025, the UEFA Europa League has undergone a redesign. Thirty-six teams will compete to win the trophy.
League phase toppers Lazio have been guaranteed in the round of 16, and 15 teams have so far secured their spots in the UEFA Europa League knockout phase.
On Matchday 7, eight teams, including Tottenham, Manchester United, Athletic Club, Lyon, Eintracht Frankfurt Galatasaray and FCSB, guaranteed a position in the round of 16 or knockout phase of the playoffs.
However, only Lazio have advanced to the round of 16 out of the eight clubs thus far; the other eight have not yet been determined as they will be known during matchday 8 of the competition.
