FA Community Shield: List of all winners

Manchester City won the trophy in 2024
The Football Association (FA) organises an annual association football competition called the FA Community Shield (previously the Charity Shield, up until and including the 2001 edition).
The Premier League champions and FA Cup winners currently compete in this match. If a team wins both domestic titles, it advances to play the runners-up in the league.
The game, which is held in August each year is considered the “curtain-raiser” and opening match before the start of the new Premier League season.
All but seven of the FA Community Shield games since 1974 have taken place at the original or renovated Wembley stadiums. The second-most finals have been held at Stamford Bridge, which hosted the first Charity Shield in 1908.
With 21 titles since the FA Community Shield competition’s start, Manchester United have the record for most victories. In addition, these are the ones with the greatest number of appearances (30) and losses (9).
Some have written it off as a ceremonial friendly that lacks the significance of other domestic prizes. Shield victories have shown to be a shaky predictor of success in the upcoming season. Below we take a look at clubs that have won the FA Community Shield.
