Ratcliffe urges fans to be patient after his takeover

Sir Jim Ratcliffe stated shortly after finishing the London Marathon that Manchester United supporters are “impatient” for the team to succeed.

After more than ten years of comparatively inadequate leadership, the club’s millionaire owner told the BBC’s Gabby Logan that he is making every effort to rebuild the team.

The 71-year-old acknowledged that fans’ concerns about the future were reasonable, but asserted that it “wasn’t a light switch, you can’t just turn it around like that”.

After surpassing his own record for the longest marathon (4 hours, 32 minutes, and 52 seconds), Sir Jim was speaking.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe on Manchester United project: “The fans are impatient, I have some sympathy with that. But it’s a journey, whether they like it or not they have to be a bit patient”.

“It’s not a light switch, you can’t just turn it around like that”.

Ratcliffe ran in London for the ninth time, and he has now finished almost two dozen marathons. He finished 19,497th overall and in 62nd place among those over 70. The second-richest man in Britain, Daniel Ratcliffe, will have extra security while on the course, race director Hugh Brasher stated ahead of time, although he did not divulge any specifics.

In February, the 71-year-old’s petrochemicals company INEOS signed a deal to acquire control of United’s football operations in addition to a 25% ownership position in the team. Earlier this week, United confirmed the hiring of Jason Wilcox as the team’s new technical director.

The wealthy British has reached out to former Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel to inquire about the possibility of taking over as Manchester United’s manager.

Inquiring as to whether Tuchel will “commit” to Man Utd before the upcoming season, Ratcliffe ranks Tuchel “highly.” Right now, the German is debating whether to accept Ratcliffe’s proposal.

Tuchel has made a dramatic about-face and may decide to stay at Bayern, even though the two had already decided to part ways. Man United is not just interested in Tuchel as a coach; they are additionally tracking Roberto De Zerbi, Gareth Southgate, and Thiago Motta.
