A total of 104 matches will take place at the mega competition.

The 2026 edition of the FIFA World Cup is taking place in Canada, Mexico and the USA. The final of the flagship tournament is all set to take place at the New York-New Jersey Stadium (MetLife Stadium) on July 19.

France, England and Spain are the favourites to win the mega competition this year. Les Bleus and the Three Lions have started their journey with positive results, but La Roja have initiated their campaign with a draw. It will now be interesting to see their run going forward.

The German national football team have secured the biggest win in the FIFA World Cup 2026 in terms of goals. They came out on top to secure a 7-1 win against Curacao in their opening game.

When it comes to scoring goals on the grandest stage of them all, it is not at all an easy task. With a lot of pressure on the field, it is not an easy task to fire the ball at the back of the net. There have been some players who have already engraved their names on the score sheet since game one.

Finding the net as early as possible only puts the opponents under pressure. Matías Galazara of the Paraguay national football team recorded the fastest goal of the FIFA World Cup 2026. He scored the goal in just 65 seconds to give his side an early advantage against Turkiye.
