FIFA ASEAN Cup 2026: Updated Standings in Premier Division and Challenge Division after Hong-Kong vs Brunei
Hong-Kong will face Cambodia in the finals of the Challenge Division.
The inaugural edition of the FIFA ASEAN Cup 2026 is underway as 14 teams are competing across two divisions. The Premier division has two groups of eight teams, while the Challenge division has two groups of three teams.
As of writing, all eight teams in the Premier division have each completed two games. On the other hand, all matches of the Challenge division have been completed.
Here are the updated group standings in the Premier and Challenge divisions of the FIFA ASEAN Cup 2026 after the match between Hong-Kong & Brunei.
Premier Division

Group A
Malaysia, Indonesia, Bangladesh and Singapore make up Group A in the Premier Division. Malaysia and Indonesia are both locked on 4 points each after they played out a goalless draw on matchday 2. Singapore on the other hand beat Bangladesh 1-0 and have closed the gap on the leaders.
Matchday 3 would see Indonesia play against Bangladesh and Malaysia play Singapore. While the Bangla Tigers are eliminated, the other three teams still have a chance to win Group A and qualify for the final of the Premier division.

Group B
Thailand, Philippines, Pakistan, and Vietnam are the four teams in Group B. Having registered a 4-0 win over Pakistan and a 2-0 win over Vietnam, Thailand have the best chance of winning Group B and qualifying for the final of the FIFA ASEAN Cup 2026.
Though it is unlikely, Vietnam could still qualify in case Thailand lose to Philippines, and Vietnam defeat Pakistan by a large margin.
Knowing what the match entails, Thailand head coach Anthony Hudson may give game time to his fringe players against the Philippines in Thailandās last group game.
On the other hand, Pakistan pulled off a 2-2 draw against the Philippines on matchday 2 and will play Vietnam in the final group game. Pakistan & Philippines still have a chance of finishing second in Group B to qualify for the third-placed match.

Challenge Division
Group A
Laos, Hong Kong, and Brunei make up Group A in the Challenge Division. Only the winner of the group is guaranteed a place in the finals. Laos beat Brunei 3-1 in the group opener and lost 4-0 to Hong Kong on Monday.
The last Group A game saw Hong Kong deafeat Brunei with a score line of 2-0. Due to their win, they have qualified for the final of the Challenge Division.

Myanmar, Cambodia, and Timor-Leste are the three teams in Group B of the Challenge League. Leaders Myanmar beat Timor-Leste 2-0 in the first game before losing 1-0 to Cambodia last weekend.
The final group game saw Timor-Leste play out a 2-2 draw against Cambodia. Cambodiaās draw means that they have secured a ticket to the Challenge Division final.
