Bayern Munich’s path to a possible final at the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 became difficult after their defeat to SL Benfica in the last group match, as they finished second in Group C.
After their record-breaking 10-0 Club World Cup victory over Auckland City on their way to the knockout rounds. It appeared that the Bavarians would dominate all their Group matches.
Bayern beat Boca Juniors next in the hope of topping their Group. But the German club suffered a shocking setback at the hands of Benfica. They lost their last Group match 1-0, which saw them finish second in their Group.

If Bayern Munich beat PSG in the quarterfinal, it will be seen as a massive victory. They would overcome the champions of Europe and book their place in the semi-final of the FIFA Club World Cup. Then they will be a game away from reaching the final.
In the semi-final, they are once again likely to come up against a top side. It could be Real Madrid, who have started playing fluent football under new manager Xabi Alonso. Hence, we can witness another heavyweight clash between European teams.
