FIFA Club World Cup 2025: List of clubs that earned most revenue

Chelsea lifted the 2025 Club World Cup trophy.

The FIFA Club World Cup 2025 has finally culminated with Chelsea lifting the trophy. They have also made a mouthwatering revenue from participating in the competition.

Now that the first iteration of the new-look tournament is over, we may examine revenue earned from the Club World Cup.

The prize fund for the New Look tournament was $1 billion (£726 million), of which $525 million was distributed to all participating clubs and $475 million was given out based on performance.

Some European teams received more money for participating than others since the money was weighted by a ranking based on commercial and athletic criteria.

Of course, the fact that the financial incentives were so generous helped. Chelsea are expected to have received an incredible £111 million for winning the championship, while Paris Saint-Germain, the runners-up, earned £82 million.

32 contending clubs split a total of £774 million ($1 billion) from FIFA’s reward fund. Depending on its confederation, each club received a participation fee of up to £28 million, making sure that even the teams eliminated in the group stage had a better outcome. Even though Manchester City lost in the round of 16, they still earned £38 million.

While South American clubs earned an average of £24 million due to strong runs from teams like semi-finalists Fluminense, European clubs, who often benefited from higher participation fees, made an overall of about £39 million.

With around £1.5 million for a win and £730k for a tie, money was up for grabs depending on the group stage results.

Five teams, including the Seattle Sounders and Pachuca, only collected their participation fee because they lost all three of their group matches.

However, when talking about the revenue as to which club earned the most, the Blues have been a profitable club in the competition after lifting the trophy.
