The first round of the group stage games of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup is now done for and it is clear now which teams are leading their respective groups. The top clubs from all over the world are battling for the mega prize here.

Matchday 5 of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 saw Pep Guardiola-led Manchester City defeat Wydad AC in their opening game after a good performance. The Cityzens are off to a positive start and will be looking to continue their form.

Xabi Alonso’s first game did not end as he might have wanted, as Simone Inzaghi-led Al Hilal held Real Madrid to a draw after their heroics. It was a neck-to-neck battle between the two teams and which ended in both teams securing a point each.

RB Salzburg defeated Pachuca in their opening game and are now at the top of Group H. It is going to be a big confidence booster for the Austria-based club, as they will take on Al Hilal and Real Madrid next.

Juventus stood tall in their opening Club World Cup fixture as they dominated Al Ain to seal a win. Bianconeri came up with a top performance and will now be looking to continue their form going forward in the mega competition.

The end of the first round of the group stage matches will help the teams to work on their issues. Even if a team faced a defeat in their first group stage match, they still have a chance to get to the knockout stage of the mega event.
