The FIFA World Cup 2026 final will witness a half-time show.

Gianni Infantino aspires to elevate football’s spectacle. The FIFA World Cup 2026 final will have a halftime entertainment akin to those at major sporting events for the first time, according to the FIFA president.

Infantino disclosed during the World Economic Summit that Chris Martin, the leader of the band Coldplay, will lead the event and that it won’t be a traditional performance. There will be several guest performers, suggesting that this will be a worldwide event.

Infantino stated, “It won’t be just one… it will be one of the biggest in the world,” indicating that the objective is to transform the FIFA World Cup 2026 final into an event that transcends athletics.

When was the idea discussed?

The concept is not brand-new. This prospect has been discussed since 2024. It has now been confirmed as part of a plan to combine entertainment and football to draw in even more viewers.

Making the world’s most significant match a spectacular event is the obvious goal. In reality, Chris Martin and performers like J Balvin and Doja Cat participated in the first trial of this format at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup final, which seemed like a sneak peek of what could be possible in the World Cup.

Pre-match shows were the hallmark of World Cup finals up until this point. For instance, Robbie Williams was the main attraction at Luzhniki Stadium before the France vs. Croatia match at Russia 2018. Ozuna and Gims were among the musicians who performed at Qatar 2022 in Lusail.

But their performances were less complex and shorter. The format—a complete halftime show with increased length, production value, and prominence—will be the primary distinction going forward.

Football is about to enter a new era, and the 2026 FIFA World Cup final is expected to be as remarkable on the field as it is on stage.

When will the new show start at the FIFA World Cup 2026 final?

The show will start during halftime.

How long will the show run at the FIFA World Cup 2026?

According to the reports will go on for 15 or 25 mins.

Who will perform during the halftime?

Coldplay’s Chris Martin and other artists.
