Who is Ayase Ueda? First Japanese player to score two goals in FIFA World Cup match

Japan scored four goals for the first time in World Cup history.

Matchday 10 of the FIFA World Cup culminated with Tunisia joining Haiti and Turkey in becoming the third nation to get knocked out of the competition. They sustained a 4-0 defeat against Japan.

Matchday 10 began with Netherlands drubbing of Sweden 5-1. The Dutch team picked up their first win of the competition. Meanwhile, clueless Sweden endured an embarrassing defeat.

Then came Germany against Ivory Coast. The 2014 World Cup winners were tested throughout the entire game before the replacement Denis Undav gave the Germans a win. He scored in the 94th minute to book their place in the round of 32.

Meanwhile, Ecuador and Curacao shared spoils. The latter’s star goalkeeper Eloy Room recorded a mammoth 15 saves to keep the South American giants at bay and earn their first-ever FIFA World Cup point.

The last game of the matchday witnessed Japan send Tunisia packing out of the FIFA World Cup after firing four goals past them.
