All 48 nations have now played their first World Cup 2026 group games.

The eight teams from two groups (K and L) in the FIFA World Cup 2026 were active on matchday 7. England defeated Croatia 4-2, while Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal suffered a frustrating 1-1 draw against Congo DR to start the day.

In the subsequent games, Ghana defeated Panama 1-0 thanks to a goal from Caleb Yirenkyi in the closing seconds. Meanwhile, Uzbekistan, who were making their tournament debut, pushed Colombia all the way before falling 3-1 to conclude the seventh matchday of the FIFA World Cup.
