2026 FIFA World Cup: List of all Referees, Assistant Referees & VAR Officials

The World Cup campaign will begin on June 11.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup, football’s most prestigious competition, is set to kick off in less than two weeks. The grandest sporting spectacle will begin on June 11, with fans and nations ready for the ultimate footballing tournament.
The 2026 edition will be co-hosted by the USA, Mexico and Canada, marking the first time the competition has been hosted by three nations simultaneously. It will also see the World Cup’s return to North American soil for the first time since 1994.
With the tournament set to get underway, FIFA has announced the official list of main referees, assistant referees and video match officials. The 2026 campaign will have a record 48 teams, instead of the traditional 32. This has led to the total number of matches being raised from 94 to 104.
This has resulted in FIFA appointing 170 match officials, the highest number to be involved for a single World Cup edition. The increase is said to have arisen from meeting the structural demands of running matches across three different host nations.
