FIFA World Cup 2026 USA Opening Ceremony: Full list of artists who will perform

The USA’s opening ceremony will take place on June 13.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup, football’s most prestigious tournament, has finally kicked off after a four-year wait. The newest edition is set to be co-hosted by the USA, Mexico, and Canada, marking the return to North America after 32 years. Ranging from tournament favourites to unpredictable debutants, the competition will feature a record 48 teams.

The competition has made global headlines for its preparations for the biggest footballing event. For the first time in the tournament’s history, FIFA has planned spectacular opening ceremonies across all three nations. The events are designed to reflect the rich diversity of each host nation and bring it to a wider audience, uniting fans across continents through a shared cultural interest.

After the first ceremony drew curtains, the second opening ceremony is set to commence at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. USA will then play their opening fixture against Paraguay in the opening fixture of Group D at the 2026 World Cup.

Artists Performing in USA’s Opening Ceremony

The USA’s opening ceremony is officially themed “Celebration of Sports”. The theme is designed to celebrate the nation’s cultural diversity, the history of its indigineous communities, and the passion for the sport.

The central piece of the performance is undoubtedly the FIFA World Cup Trophy, designed as a glowing cup, which is used to symbolizing unity and the energy that the sport provides.

The performance will be headlined by Dan + Shay, who will sing the national anthem. They are accompanied by Future and Tyla, who will be performing the popular global track “Game Time”, alongside Katy Perry, Anitta, LISA and Rema.
